All fix numbers can be called only through adding the digit “2” in the begining
Albtelecom sh.a., the leading fix telephony in Albania, has entered after the privatization last year by turkish conscourcium Çalik-Turk Telekom, into an intensive investement phase to enlarge it`s telecommunication service capacity offering.
Albtelecom has determined as it`s major priority the quality increase and product service enlargement. The company is investing in this direction to expand it`s capacities on fix telephone network fullfilling it`s needs and other investements are foreseen to enable modern services.
Part of this development strategy is also the change of Tirana local numeration from six digits to seven digits. This plan after being approved by respective albanian state authorities, it was released to the albanian public through an advertising campaign on domestic vision and written medias during april-may.
Albtelecom notifies all it`s subscribers that starting from september 15, all calls of subscribers in Tirana and all around Albania will be made only through new seven digit numeration adding the digit 2 in the begining of local numbers. After this date you can not reach any six digit number without adding the digit 2 in the begining.
This new step undertaken by Albtelecom coincides with the start of service offer basing on new technology right after the implementation of it by this company. Albtelecom expects to bring innovations to albanian telecommunication market.
