ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile have finalized the contest “Let’s write Albanian Language Right”, announced several months ago where protagonists were students aged 12 to 18 years old. In this contest, which was open to all Elementary and High-School students, the jury selected 4 winners.

The winning students’ names are: Kristina Troka (from Korça), Kevin Hoxha (from Tirana), Klaudia Koxha (from Tirana), and Suada Kura (from Durres). Two prizes of 500 Euros each, were given to two Elementary students, and two other prizes of 500 Euros were given to the other two High-School students.

The prize delivery for the winners of this project was made during a ceremony attended by the General Director of ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Mr. Orhan Coskun, the Director of Pre-University Education in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Fatmir Vejsiu, Mrs. Pranvera Kamani, Inspector in the Ministry of Education, 5 Jury Members who evaluated the compositions of over 200 students, as well as High Directors of the two companies.

The General Director of ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Dr. Orhan Coskun said in his speech that he feels proud that ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile have managed to organize a nationwide competition about the correct writing of the Albanian Language. He thanked the supporters of this contest, the Ministry of Education, and the honoured professors of the jury, and added that the greatest satisfaction comes from the fact that in this contest participated more than 200 students not only from Albania, but also from Kosovo and Macedonia. “Language is an essential component for students and people, as it is through language above all that man can better express himself. All relations initiate with the language.

Even a war initiates and ends through language, said Mr. Coskun. According to him, ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile realize the special importance that these projects have for students, for the social and economic future of the country, and it is for this reason that they will continue to support such initiatives as part of social responsibility projects.

The Director of Secondary School Education, Mr. Fatmir Vejsiu, while thanking ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile, said that the support of such activities is a valuable contribution to the accurate use of the native language and the preparation of the young. In his opinion, this activity represents a greater obligation for the future so that other activities will have a greater attention not only from the Ministry, but also from other donators.

Prof. Dr. Kolec Topalli said that the arrangement of a competition for the preservation and accurate use of the Albanian Language is a very meaningful example for other institutions and companies. “ I am especially pleased on such a day to see that ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile have organized a contest about the accurate use, preservation and further deliberation of the Albanian Language”, said Mr. Topalli

The project, which was based on the accurate use of Albanian Language, was announced on the International Day of the Native Language. The aim of this project, organized as a contest, was to motivate and encourage Elementary and High-School students to compose and write our language accurately, according to the stylistics and grammar rules.

The project “Let’s write Albanian Language Right”, which is part of the Annual Initiative declared from Eagle Mobile “Hand in Hand with Education”, caused students from all over Albania and the Region to submit their compositions in prose or poetry.
