ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile continue to support education in Albania through increasing their contribute to Higher Education. In the framework of Social Responsibility Projects, both companies have supported the visit of the Vice Rector of Yalova University, Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoĝlu, one of the best professors of the Technical University in Istanbul, as well as one of the best-known experts of Biochemical Industry in Turkey.

In her 4-day visit in Albania between June 8 and 12 Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu held meetings with important directors of public universities in Tirana. The main issue of all meetings was finding opportunities for cooperation between Albanian Universities and the most prominent ones in Turkey in order to realize an experience share in various fields, signing of a bilateral agreement, students and experience exchange, curricula and lecturers exchange in order to increase the level of teaching and education.

Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoĝlu discussed with the vice-Rector of Agricultural University, Prof. Dr. Bizena Bijo, about the possibilities of creating spaces for exchange of experiences and research in agriculture and forestry, as well as other exchanges. Later she also met with the vice-Rector of EPOKA University, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr. Mehmet Ardıçlıoğlu, and the Chancellor of this University, Hamza Tok. Also during this meeting it was discussed about topics and details of cooperation.

At a special meeting, she was also received by Prof.Dr. Dhori Kule, Rector of the University of Tirana, with whom she discussed concrete issues of cooperation of the University of Tirana with Turkish universities and exchange of lecturers. Collaboration between universities was also discussed in the meeting with the Rector and vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, respectively Prof. Dr. Jorgaq Kaçani and Prof. Dr. Frederik Premti.

In her 4-day visit, Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoĝlu was also received by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Hasan S. Aşan, while the main topic of conversation was education.

Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoĝlu was received at a special meeting by the General Director of Albtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Dr. Orhan Coşkun, who also comes from the academic world.

In the framework of Social Responsibility Projects, Albtelecom and Eagle Mobile have dedicated year 2011 to Education, and since the beginning of the year, under the slogan “Hand in Hand with Education”, have organized several activities in its support.
