ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile celebrate 1 June in Istanbul with 10 bright students selected from different schools of the capital. The group of children was selected from families in need, in cooperation with the First Lady, Mrs. Teuta Topi and the Ministry of Education. It is the second consecutive year that ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile celebrate “1 June “in Turkey together with top managers of Çalik Group.

The group of children was seen off at “Mother Teresa “Airport by the General Director of ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Dr. Orhan Coşkun and the First Lady, Teuta Topi. Mrs.Topi said that ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile have already turned it into a tradition to organize a tour-guide in Istanbul for children with good school results coming from families with minimum income. According to her, both companies are giving a meaningful message to children, that every well-done job is rewarded. “Students with high scores and not good economic conditions were selected in order to convey the message to other children that hard work and love for the future can win any battles or challenges in life. I wish you a merry 1 June, high scores in school and continue to commit to lessons", said Mrs. TOPI.

ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile CEO, Dr. Orhan COŞKUN, wishing all Albanian children on their festival, added that both companies are proud to affect somehow the future of the children. “I hope that these children will be the teachers, engineers, doctors, lawyers of the future. In this way they will be helpful and serve Albania and the Albanians. We will feel very proud and happy to see that we have had an influence on the future of these children,” said Mr. COŞKUN.

Afterwards, the 10 children flew to Istanbul, where they visited the center of the prestigious Çalik Holding Company. The children were greeted at a special meeting by the President of the company, Mr. Ahmet Çalik, who talked with them about their future and other topics of children's age interest. Mr. Çalik gave a gift to each of the children and also laid lunch for them. Mr. Çalik said he feels happy to welcome to his office a group of bright students from Tirana. “I hope and wish you like Istanbul and have a great time here. It is a pleasure for us as Çalik Group to receive a group of children from Albania and to support our companies in Albania in the field of Social Responsibility,” said Mr. Çalik.

In the afternoon of 1 June, the 10 outstanding students made a visit to the Albanian Consulate in Istanbul, where they were warmly received by the Consul of the Republic of Albania to Istanbul, Mr. Ermal Muça. In his reception for the children, Mr. Muça organized a cocktail where other staff members of the Consulate were also present and awarded gifts to the children. “I am very happy to welcome this group of children to the premises of the Albanian Consulate in Istanbul. I wish and hope they have a wonderful time during their stay in Istanbul. On this occasion, let me wish a Happy 1 June to all Albanian children”, said Mr. Muça

The group of children also visited one of the most prestigious media groups in Turkey "Turkuvaz", consisting of "ATV" television channel, "SabaH" newspaper, etc..  Walking in "Taksim" Square was the conclusion of sightseeing in the ancient and modern Istanbul.  The children were selected from the elementary schools "Bajram Curri", "Shkolla e Kuqe", "Xhezmi Delli", "Fan Noli", "Dhora Leka", and the high school "Qemal Stafa".

Even in past years, ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile have appraised best pupils and students, orphan children, with such trips and scholarships. Meanwhile, Eagle Mobile, along with scholarship provision in process to orphan children, has also contributed with the design of the prominent project "Business in assistance of orphan children”, where 25 other businesses were invited to give their contribution to this important part of the community in Albania.
